Education: School District #171 with two elementary and one joint junior/senior high school. Lewis State Clark College (LCSC) is located 47 miles east of Greer in Lewiston, Idaho. and the Univeristy of Idaho in Moscow is less than 2 hours away. LCSC has an outreach program at the Weippe Discovery Center and Orofino High School, and offers distance education.
Fax Services: Offered at the Pierce Free Public Library and Olive's Auto Parts in Pierce.
Financial Services: There is one credit union servicing the area.
Gasoline/Diesel: Available in both Pierce and Weippe.
Libraries: Pierce Free Public Library and Weippe Discovery Center, which both offer free computer access. The Pierce Free Public Library is a wireless "Hot Spot" for laptop users.
Meeting Facilities: Fraser Community Center, Pierce Community Center & Pool, Weippe Community Hall, and Weippe Discovery Center
Newspaper: The Clearwater Tribune services Clearwater County, while the Lewiston Morning Tribune covers the region.
Propane: Available at the Cedar Inn in Pierce and at the Timberline Cafe' in Weippe..
Postal Service: United States Post Office located on Main Street in Pierce and Weippe.
Power: Avista Utilities services Pierce, while Clearwater Power services Weippe, Greer and Fraser. No natural gas service.
Radio Stations: KLER 95.3 FM/1300 AM and KZID 98.5 FM out of Orofino, Idaho.
Telephone Service: Verizon Northwest is the local service provider.
UPS: Pick-up and delivery 5 days a week with a substation at Olive's Auto Parts. Federal Express delivers 2 days a week, but the closest drop-off box is in Orofino, Idaho.
