Chamber Membership

As the Chamber continues to grow, so do the benefits that become available to our members. The following benefits are provided to assure that you, as a business owner, can take advantage of the many worthwhile opportunities the Chamber has to offer.

Membership Benefits

  • Referrals: If you have a question regarding our community, who do you call? The Chamber. We receive many inquiries each day about products, services, recreation, dining, and lodging. We are proud to refer Chamber members when responding to these requests.

  • Visitor Information: As a member, you are entitled to distribute your cards and brochures at all Chamber sponsored functions. We mail relocation and visitor packets to people all over the world.

  • Business Spot Lite: This is the perfect way to showcase your business at a Chamber meeting and to network your products.

  • Advertising: As a member, your dues go towards advertising our region and your business through publications, The North Central Idaho Travel Association and area brochures. The more members we have, the more we can advertise our region to attract visitors.

  • Web site: Our web site currently receives over 1,200 hits per month from people all over the world. These visits translate into exposure for your business from membership and listings on the site.

  • Online Listing: As a member, you are entitled to have your business displayed on the website. This enhances the exposure of member businesses to visitors of our site.

  • Business Directory Listing: Your membership dues entitle you to a complete business listing, including name, address, logo, web site, e-mail, etc.

  • Tourism and Promotion: The beauty and rich history of our region encourages a variety of outdoor and educational pursuits. We have an annual multimedia campaign designed to encourage visitors to come to our region, thereby increasing the dollars that flow into the local economy.

  • Working For You: The Chamber sponsors the annual Fishing Tournament, Chamber Banquet and Wine Tasting events.

About the Chamber

Originally established in 1947, the Pierce-Weippe Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to the general betterment, both material and cultural, of the greater Pierce/Weippe area of Clearwater County. It is also the purpose of the Chamber to foster, encourage and assist in promoting a better business and professional atmosphere for the area.

The Chamber Membership Meetings occur bimonthly on the 2nd Wednesday of the month alternating between Pierce and Weippe.

Timberline High School Scholarships

The Pierce-Weippe Chamber offers a $500 and $300 scholarship for graduating Timberline High School Seniors who are continuing their education and have an emphasis or interest in business. Download our Scholarship Application in either Word or PDF format.

Grant Application for Donation Requests

All organizatations requesting a donation of funds from the Pierce-Weippe Chamber of Commerce must submit a Grant Application. It may be downloaded here in either Word or PDF format. The submitted applications will be reviewed quarterly for possible awards, depending on quality of application and availability of funds. Most grants for annual operating expenses or program support range from $100 to $500 for each award. Only one request for funding per organization will be considered a year. Awards are made primarily in the Pierce-Weippe area; some countywide organizations may also receive support.

All members are encouraged to submit their information for our Member Spotlight in the Clearwater Tribune newspaper. Simply answer the following questions and send to Kathy Coles at bearkatranch@qroidaho.net.

  3. What made you start your business - when?
  4. Tell us about yourself, your family, children, pets, interests, etc.
  5. What do you see changing here in the next few years?
